Privacy policy
Draft for legal review. Highlighted items in square brackets still need the business's own details or decisions.
This policy from SticklR ("we") explains what information the SticklR app and this website handle, and what happens to it. The short version: the app keeps everything on your phone and sends nothing to us.
The SticklR app
The app has no account and no server. Everything it stores stays on your phone:
- Your stickers: each sticker's Bluetooth identifier, the name you give it, its group, and its battery level.
- Your lists and routines: packing lists, groups, routines and settings.
- Places: the locations you save, such as home or work, so the app can stay quiet there and check your items when you leave.
- Last-seen locations: where your phone was when it lost contact with a sticker.
- History: a record of alerts and of arriving at or leaving your places. Entries older than 90 days are deleted automatically.
We do not receive, see, sell or share any of this. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software.
Location
If you allow it, the app uses your location for three things: pausing alerts at your saved places, noticing when you leave one, and recording where a sticker was last heard. To show a street address for a last-seen location, your phone asks Apple's map service to turn the coordinates into an address. That request is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. You can turn location off in your phone's settings; the rest of the app keeps working.
Bluetooth and notifications
Bluetooth is used only to hear your stickers. Alerts and reminders are created on your phone; the app does not use push notifications and has no way to send you messages from elsewhere.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Settings › Your data › Delete all my data. This erases everything listed above. Deleting the app does the same. Because no copy exists anywhere else, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
This website and buying a kit
- Reservations and orders: if you reserve or buy a kit, we collect your email address, and for an order your name and delivery address, to fulfil it and contact you about it. We keep order records for [period, e.g. 6 years] for tax and accounting.
- Payments: card payments are handled by [payment provider]. We never see or store your full card details.
- Marketing emails: we send news and offers only if you tick the box asking for them. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us at sticklr.app@gmail.com.
- Fonts and hosting: this site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your device's IP address when the page loads. Our hosting provider, [hosting provider], keeps standard server logs.
- Cookies: this site does not use cookies.
Children
SticklR is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The app itself sends no information to us at all.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you from orders or reservations, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email sticklr.app@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act give you further rights, and you may complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell customers by email or in the app.
